A critical role

Advising Government on training needs

To ensure there is strong industry leadership of the training system, the Victorian Government funds a network of industry bodies which are experts on the training needs and delivery in their particular industries.

The TFIA works in partnership with the TCFUA (Victorian Branch) to form the TCF&L Industry Advisory Body (IAB) which reports to Skills Victoria on issues relating to the vocational education and training needs of the Victorian Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather sector.

The Skills Victoria Corporate website provides further details about the industry bodies network.
