TFIA is focused on workplace learning in highly specialised and advanced technology areas to deliver flexible, formal and customised solutions for managers, workers and professional educators

TFIA's flexible workplace learning programs draw on people and materials with close proximity to the market and to leading edge global suppliers delivering to multiple industry workplaces of all sizes.

As a Registered Training Organisation (RTO), the TFIA has hands-on training experience. Through its membership base it has close contact with the TCF sector and is well placed to directly access and inform the needs of businesses, both large and small. 

TFIA holds a rotating board position on Manufacturing Skills Australia (MSA) which is part of the Industry Skills Council and is an equal partner of the Victorian Government TCF&L Industry Advisory Body (IAB).
